Breeder’s Cup Rankings: “Curlin Stays On Top Until Connections Say It’s a Definite No Go”
by BetUS Staff

The connections of both Curlin and Breeders’ Cup Classic.
The likelihood of that happening isn’t very good. Why? Because Curlin is looking to go to a race overseas to prove his greatness. That race could be the Japan Cup where Curlin no doubt would be a much better price than what his online betting odds are in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at BetUS Racebook.
Curlin runs this weekend in the Woodward Stakes. He has no business losing that one but because of his low online odds, he might not warrant a horse bet.
Big Brown will start next at Monmouth Park…again. His connections are full of it if they think a prep at Monmouth is going to get him ready for the Breeders’ Cup Classic. He will appear in these rankings, but I’m not sold on his chances at winning the Breeders’ Cup.
Let’s get to the rankings!
Breeders’ Cup Power Rankings with Online Odds
1. Curlin online betting odds + 180 - - Curlin might not even start in this race. If he does, then those online wagering odds are probably awesome. He should go off 4/5 or less in this thing if he makes it to the gate. That’s how good Curlin is.
2. Go Between online betting odds + 600 - - Usually the Breeders’ Cup Classic comes up with a lot of speed horses. I expect the same thing to happen this year with Big Brown, Well Armed, and others entering the race. Go Between ran fantastic in the Pacific Classic. He’s a definite player in the Breeders’ Cup Classic as it’s on cushion track this year.
3. Well Armed online betting odds + 1500 - - The online odds are terrific on the best front runner in the nation. Forget about the fact that he faced other speed in the Pacific Classic and still almost held on to beat Go Between. All we need to remember is how he ran against Curlin in the Dubai World Cup. This is a serious racehorse who could wire the Breeders’ Cup field at big online wagering odds.
4. Zenyatta online betting odds + 2500 - - The second best racehorse in the country is a filly. Her name is Zenyatta and outside of Curlin there isn’t another horse that’s going to enter the Breeders’ Cup Classic that can beat her. I’m begging her connections to run her against the boys!
5. Henrythenavigator online betting odds + 450 - - The word is out on this European monster who most likely will make the trip to the states for the Breeders’ Cup Classic. This guy is awesome. He’s another one who deserves to be favored over Big Brown.
6. Mambo in Seattle online betting odds + 1500 - - Mambo in Seattle almost beat Colonel John in the Travers Stakes last weekend and he’s 15 to 1 on the BetUS online sportsbook. Colonel John is 6 to 1. I’d rather make an online bet on Mambo in Seattle.
7. Colonel John online betting odds + 600 - - Speaking of Colonel John online racebook fans need to remember that he will be racing over his home track, the cushion at Santa Anita. Yes, it’s a new surface but this guy looked great in the Travers against some of the best three year olds in the country. He’s on the improve and his daddy, Tiznow, won the Classic twice.
8. Big Brown online betting odds + 250 - - He could win the Breeders’ Cup Classic but he will face a lot of pace pressure up front and the closers will be serious in this thing. It’s not that I don’t like Big Brown. It’s just that I have no idea how good he really is. The horse still hasn’t beaten anyone of note save for Colonel John in the Kentucky Derby when John ran into some serious traffic trouble. I’m laying off at those online wagering odds.
9. AP Arrow online betting odds + 3000 - - Want a long shot from a good barn who once in a while could come up and do some serious damage? Look no further than AP Arrow! Cat Thief won the Breeders’ Cup Classic after having a bad summer. Why not AP Arrow? Stranger things have happened. This guy is an old pro who could bite you once in a while.
10. Tiago online betting odds + 1200 - - I like Tiago in a race chockfull of speed. He can close as well as Go Between and there’s no denying his class.
Good Luck!
