Breeders’ Cup - Pick 3 Wagering Strategy - Races 3 Through 5

Race 3 - - Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile

We have to go at least five deep in here and I wish we could go six deep, but that would cost us too much money. Let’s use Lewis Michael (5/1), Pyro (20/1), Albertus Maximus (4/1), Well Armed (3/1) and My Pal Charlie at 20 to 1. From my perspective both My Pal Charlie and Pyro are terrific overlaid online bets in this spot. If we could get one of those two in the Pick 3, then we could cash big time!

Race 4 - - Breeders’ Cup Mile

This is usually a very tough race for online racebook fans to handicap. Keeping that in mind, we can’t go more deep than maybe three in here. The three I like are: Goldikova (3/1), Daytona (6/1) and Whatsthescript (4/1). Let’s hope that unlike in past years, this race ends up chalky! Daytona has a serious shot at wiring this field with only Thorn Song able to run on the lead with him.

Race 5 - - Breeders’ Cup Juvenile

My play of the day is in this race. That would be Square Eddie at online odds of 9/2. But I thought it important to throw in a huge long shot in this just in case Eddie doesn’t fire. To me the best long shot possible is Mine That Bird out of Birdstone and trained by Richard Mandella going off at 30/1. I also want to use Street Hero at 6/1.
