The Oak Tree Meet at Santa Anita officially began this past Wednesday. So far the new Pro-Ride surface has held up extremely well. Neither closers nor front runners have had an advantage.

This four year old gelding lost by a nose in his last race and should improve off of that effort. He will be returning to turf, his preferred surface, for the first time since June of 2007. In that race, a maiden run, he finished up well enough to garner a speed rating that would destroy these. If his last was a sign of things to come, then he could win this race going away.

Supercarchy - - 10/1 online betting odds

Man, he’s looked terrible in his last two races! But I’m willing to forgive him as he gets a chance to prove how good he could be on the grass. This will be only his fourth lifetime race which means he can still improve and his first on grass. Because his daddy is Decarchy, he should do well on the lawn. His definitely has a nice closing kick.

Maj. Trouble - - 8/1 online betting odds

Because there isn’t a whole lot of other speed in this race, this guy could find himself loose on the lead. If he does so, then watch out. He could definitely take this field a long way. He’s worth a look at the 8/1 morning line odds.

Wagering Strategy

Here Comes Buster is an excellent win and place horse bet if he holds those 5 to 1 online betting odds. He only needs to improve a little to win this. I will also use in an exacta and trifecta box with Maj. Trouble and Supercarchy. All three of my choices should be going off at nice online wagering odds.
