Thursday’s horse bet pick of the day occurs in Del Mar Race 7. The Del Mar meet is fast approaching its signature race, the Pacific Classic. The Classic will be run this Sunday.
This weekend is will be absolutely huge at Del Mar with graded races being run on both Saturday and Sunday. It would be a nice thing for online racebook fans to pad their bankrolls before Saturday rolls around.

Silver Moonshine - - 10/1 morning line
Few online racebook fans expect this daughter of Silver Deputy to wire this field. But there isn’t as much speed in this race as some might think. The stretch-out runner, Roseangela, gets Jose Valdivia who is a super patient rider. That means that David Flores on Silver Moonshine might just be able to steal this race. Trainer Carla Gaines is winning at 28% at the meet. She’s also 29% off the lay off. At the expected overlaid odds this gal is definitely worth a horse bet.
Renegade Ruby - - 3/1 morning line
Turf to dirt for trainer Julio Canini, almost won a 1 mile prep race over the Polytrack in her last - - there’s a lot to like about this 4-year old filly. Tyler Baze has been fantastic at this meet. He should have this one in position when they straighten out in the stretch. She can either close from the off the pace or run up close - - it’s Tyler’s call.
Eissoai - - 2/1 morning line
This Bobby Frankel trained Grade I winner from Brazil just didn’t look all that great in her last. Bobby hasn’t been having the type of meet that horse betting fans expect from him. Still, her class is unquestioned but this will be her second race stateside. That means she could run worse than she did in her first. If she does, she has no chance.
Wagering Strategy
If Silver Moonshine goes off at online odds of 5 to 1 or higher, she’s worth a nice sized wager to both win and place. I will also use in an exacta box with Renegade Ruby and Eissoia. I will use Silver Moonshine in a key trifecta in all three slots with Renegade Ruby, Eissoai and Brendolyn (4/1 morning line).
