Both the Del Mar and Saratoga meets are coming to a fast close. Hopefully, it has been a profitable one for online racebook fans.

If it hasn’t, no fretting! The Belmont Park’s fall meet are just about to begin. Both meets will be chockfull of overlaid horses in major preps for the Breeders’ Cup. Don’t you love this game? I mean, just when horse betting fans think that there’s nothing to do in thoroughbred horse racing, great online betting action is right around the corner!

In My Glory - - 5/2 morning line odds

Although the morning line odds do not appear high enough to warrant a wager, the truth regarding In My Glory is that she has no reason to lose this race. That makes her an overlay. By no reason, I mean that she is the lone speed in a six horse field with a jockey, Martin Garcia, who is good with front-runners. Not only that, but the Del Mar turf course has been kind to front-runners lately. That makes her a stand-out for an online horse bet or two in this race.

Restless Soul - - 7/2 morning line

I like this filly out of Singspiel and would have made her the top choice if there was any chance of pace pressure up front against In My Glory. There isn’t, though, so this gal is going to have to put in a gargantuan effort in order to win this race. This will be her fourth start off of a layoff and nobody is riding better right now than Joel Rosario. She’s the horse bet if you don’t by into the lone speed theory.

Exquisite Beauty - - 9/5 morning line

I suspect that the daughter of Golan will be going off closer to 6/5 in this race than 9/5. Why? Because she absolutely looked fantastic in her first race off the bench and Garret Gomez rides her. Of course, she is in line to bounce to the moon after her first race in the States. Class wise, she is the best in this, but pace wise things could be tough for her.

Wagering Strategy

I will make an online horse bet on In My Glory to win only and use in an exacta box with Exquisite Beauty and Restless Soul. Because of the expected short online wagering odds, I will bypass the trifecta in this race.
