Kris Silver - - 15/1 online wagering odds
Kris Silver has a lot going against him. He’s breaking from the ten hole, hasn’t won in a while and will try to steal it on the front end. So, why do I like him? His online betting odds should be extremely overlaid. Silver is 2 and 2 on the Santa Anita lawn. That makes him a very difficult horse to bet against in this situation. There does appear to be other speed, but if they try to go with Silver, then forget it. They’ll burn themselves out. Also, the Santa Anita turf course has really been speed favoring lately. At expected huge online betting odds this guy is a nice wager.
Prince Rexy - - 3/1 online wagering odds
Prince Rexy will go off the chalk in this. For good reason, actually, as he’s easily the classiest animal in this race. He could stalk or come from the clouds and there’s no doubt that Prince Rexy is trained by a grass master, Neil Drysdale. I expect the undefeated Prince Rexy to make a run, but I hope it won’t be enough to get to Kris Silver.
Moral Compass - - 5/2 online wagering odds
The likely second choice should do well in this spot but like Prince Rexy, he will be chasing Kris Silver through what might be some soft fractions over a turf course that has been favoring speed. Compass will need to navigate through some horses coming back to the pack. That’s never a good thing. The online wagering odds will be low.
Wagering Strategy
Kris Silver will be an excellent online bet to win, place and show. I will also use in exacta and trifecta boxes with Prince Rexy and Moral Compass.
