Horse Picks from Santa Anita Park - We Have Your Winners

Santa Anita resumes racing on Thursday. Usually, Santa Anita Park races from Monday to Sunday but since President’s Day was on Monday, BetUS racebook as always will offer wagering on every race on the Santa Anita card.
Thursday’s pick of the day is actually a warm-up race for some bigger things down the road. That’s okay. The horse betting should be plenty good enough to beat these.
Let’s analyze Race 7 at Santa Anita on Thursday.
Santa Anita Park – Race 7
Allowance $52,000 n1x
For Four Year Olds and Up
1 1/16th miles on Pro-Ride
Lowther Street - - 5/1 morning line
Trained by Eoin Harty and owned by Darley Stables, Lowther Street just broke his maiden going a flat mile on the Pro-Ride surface in his last race. He has every right to improve off of that because he’s out of Street Cry and Darley bought him for $210,000. More improvement from him today means that he wins this.
Nima’s Pad - - 4/1 morning line
Nima’s Pad was terrible in the Sunshine Millions but he has an excuse. He steadied around the 1st turn and because the field in the Millions was so large, he lost all chance. He can bounce back and really take it to this field because his record on the Pro-Ride is 2 wins and a 3rd including a fantastic victory in a $25,000 optional claimer two races ago.
Royal Seal - - 15/1 morning line
He’s won his last two races and even though the open claimer at $25,000 wasn’t one of the better level races at Santa Anita - - heck, his maiden victory at $25,000 was a lower level race - - this guy has every right to do some special things in this race. His recent form is without question. He’s worth a shot in the exotics.Wagering Strategy
I’ll bet Lowther Street to win and place as well as put Lowther Street into an exacta and trifecta box with Royal Seal and Nima’s Pad.
