This Saturday Turfway Park showcases the Grade II Lane’s End Stakes for three year olds.

The Lane’s End has become one of the most popular three year Kentucky Derby prep races of the year. BetUS racebook fans will want to check out the Lane’s End Stakes because more often than not a long shot can be found that could provide huge profits to bettors.

Trained by Philip Sims this Cactus Ridge Miss should get up in time to win the Bourbonette on Saturday. Hot Cha Cha was exceptional in her last race closing 5 lengths at the second call to record a ½ a length victory in a $50,000 optional claimer at this distance on this track. She has 2 victories out of 4 starts on the Polytrack at Turfway and she should be able to run down the speed in this.

Fitz Just Right - - 5/2 fair betting odds

Fizt Just Right went to trainer Kiaran McLaughlin and ran in the Darley Ocala Breeders’ Sale Championship Stakes at a 1 1/16th and won on the lead. She’s super fast and will be bet down to next to nothing in this, but there is other speed, so I’m not willing to jump on her at low odds. She’s the best in this race but if she gets hooked early she can be beat.

Step Out Smartly - - 6/1 fair betting odds

This daughter of Came Home ran like a pig in her last start when losing by 38 ¾ lengths. She was just outrun, but now she returns to the Turfway Polytrack where she’s been successful. Trainer George Arnold is winning at a 35% clip at this meet which means he should have her ready to go. She could be a nice overlay in this.

Wagering Strategy

I’m going to bet Hot Cha Cha to win and place at odds of 4 to 1 or higher. If Hot Cha Cha goes off lower than 4 to 1, I will switch my win bet to Step Out Smartly who should be going off at least 6 to 1 in this. I will put Hot Cha Cha, Step Out Smartly and Fitz Just Right into an exacta and trifecta box.
