Horse Racing Free Picks from New Orleans

The Fair Grounds Racetrack in New Orleans has become one of the most prestigious tracks in the United States.
For BetUS Horse racing bettors never know when the rains might come to New Orleans.
It looks as if the skies should be clear on Friday. That’s a good thing since the pick of the day will be running on turf.
Let’s analyze the 9th race at the Fair Grounds on Friday.
Fair Grounds – Race 9

For Four Year Olds and Up
1 1/16th miles on turf
Jazz Quest - - 4/1 morning line
This five year old gelding out of the Tom Amoss barn wasn’t all that great first time off the bench on January 25th. He went off as the chalk that day and his back class says that he could certainly improve off of that effort. He will have to step it up in this to beat two such classy horses as Sterwins and Crested, but Amoss knows what he’s doing and jockey Robbie Albarado is one of the best in the nation. Jazz Quest can hit the line first.
Crested - - 7/2 morning line
Crested will be racing for the first time since May 31st of 2008. Usually, I would see that as an issue, but trainer Wally Dollase likes to win races and Crested certainly has the ability to get it done in this. Jockey J.L. Castanon takes the call and Crested’s work pattern says that firing first time out is not out of the question. He can win this.
Sterwins - - 5/2 morning line
The likely chalk is another classy sort that has shown the ability to fire first time off the bench. Lately, Sterwins’ trainer, Malcolm Pierce, has been running Sterwins in graded races on artificial surfaces. This is a step down in class. That could be either a good thing or a bad thing. Sterwins has the ability to beat these but he will have to come from the clouds. That could work against him.
Wagering Strategy
I’m going to bet Jazz Quest to win and place. I will also use Jazz Quest, Sterwins and Crested in an exacta and trifecta box.
