Rogue Victory’s last race was phenomenal. He had to check at the start and then he steadied at the turn but he still wound up winning by 2 lengths. It was the best race of his career and if he comes close to repeating it on Saturday, he wins this. Jockey J.J. Castellano takes the call and trainer George Weaver has won 4 out of 7 this meet for a 57% hit rate. This guy could be the surprise package on Saturday.

Polo Argentina - - 4/1 online betting odds

This four-year old colt’s speed ratings are on the slowish side but he keeps jockey John Velasquez and trainer Todd Pletcher is the best in the world at getting horses ready off of lay-offs. If he’s improved since July, which was the last time he ran, he might have a chance to pull off the win in this. He’s improved in every race and because he’s out of Giant’s Causeway and a Kris S mare, there’s no telling how good he could be.

Mr. Sidney - - 3/1 online betting odds

The likely chalk has a few things going for him. He’s trained by Bill Mott, has the best speed ratings out of this bunch, gets jockey Kent Desormeaux to take the call, and he should be classy since his owners spent 3.9 million for him. That’s the good stuff. The bad stuff is that he’s going to be super chalky for online betting fans, gets a terrible draw, and is coming into this off of a short lay-off in a race where he finished tenth. Maybe.

I like Rogue Victory to win and place. I will also use Rogue Victory in an exacta and trifecta box with Mr. Sidney and Polo Argentina.
