November 15th Horse Pick of the Day - Hollywood Park Race 8

Hollywood Park’s eighth race on Saturday is a minor stakes with some very nice three year old fillies entered.

Sports betting fans could do worse than to throw some money behind one of these overlaid horses. I believe I’ve found the perfect horse bet for this.

Solar Miss - - 3/1 fair online wagering odds

Out of six lifetime starts Solar Miss already has 2 wins, 2 seconds, and a third. That’s a pretty good record considering one of the other favorites in this race, Fire N’ Brimstone, has one win out of sixteen lifetime starts. Solar Miss should find this group much easier than her last race where she faced Tasha’s Miracle and Dawn Before Dawn. Trainer Kathy Walsh has had a very good year winning 25% of her races. She should have Solar Miss ready to fire her best shot.

Miss Singhsix - - 4/1 fair online wagering odds

Miss Singhsix actually finished ahead of Solar Miss in that Grade III won by Tasha’s Miracle. Like Solar Miss, she’s lightly raced compared to a few others in here and trainer Paddy Gallagher knows how to get horses ready for the turf. She could be tough in this spot as she might be the classiest filly in the race.

Sensational Love - - 5/1 fair online wagering odds

She has a ton of ability, races for the Neil Drysdale barn, and because her daddy is named War Chant her ability on the turf should be unquestioned. So, what’s the problem? Maybe, as her 2 out of 10 lifetime record indicates, she doesn’t care to run. No questioning Drysdale’s ability to get her ready. It all depends on her. If she decides she wants to beat these, then she can, but she rarely decides that. Instead, she sort of just lopes along and then makes a small effort at the top of the stretch.

I love Solar Miss to win and place at online odds of 3 to 1 or higher. I will also use in an trifecta box with Miss Singhsix and Sensational Love.
