Oct. 8th Horse Pick of the Day - Oak Tree at Santa Anita Race 7

Sometimes online racebook fans have no other choice then to make an online bet on a horse that probably won’t go off at overlaid odds.
Sometimes a horse looks so solid in a race, that online racebook fans will need to take low online odds on what looks like close to a sure thing.
Such is the case with the Horse Pick of the Day.
Let’s get to it!
Race-time: 4:08 pm
Oak Tree at Santa Anita - - Race 7
$40,000 n1x Optional Claimer
For Three Year Olds and Up
7 furlongs on Pro-Ride
Men Only - - 5/2 online betting odds
I hate taking low online wagering odds but everything I see points to Men Only dominating in this optional claiming race. He gets Rafael Bejarano, he breaks from the two hole, and trainer Doug O’Neil puts blinkers on him. Men Only is also dropping from the $62,500 level. He’s a hard knocker that should win this race.
Gentle Romeo - - 7/2 online betting odds
He looks talented but here’s the issue: if he’s so talented, why is he in this optional claimer? Yes, he’s not up for sale here, but he hasn’t run since November of 2007. If he is that good, then this should be nothing more than a prep. I also don’t like how he’s going from trainer John Shireffs to Clifford Sise. Sise probably doesn’t move him up all that much. Still, in this short field, he has a shot.
All Man - - 3/1 online betting odds
He’s a closer in a race loaded with speed but there isn’t a whole lot to really like about All Man in this race. He has two thirds out of three races at this distance. But what’s the deal with him going off at such low online odds? He can win this, but the signs aren’t there.
Wagering Strategy
Men Only to win looks like a solid online wager. I will also use Men Only, on top, of Gentle Romeo and All Man in an exacta and trifecta.
Good Luck!
