September 12th Horse Pick of the Day - Belmont Race 8

The exacta in yesterday’s horse pick of the day paid over $48 dollars for a single buck. Frenchman’s Cove paid an excellent $6.20 to place while Counting House, my second choice, paid a terrific $12.20 to win and $5.60 to place.

One thing I want to add about my online racebook fans if I can hit with between 30% to 40% of my online winning horse bets, I should be in the black.

Bella Attrice - - 6/1 morning line

Counting House won on the turf on Thursday while breaking from the ten hole so why can’t Bella Attrice win on Friday while breaking from the nine hole? She absolutely can! In fact this daughter of Tomorrow’s Cat has won her last two races. Why is she getting no respect on the morning line? Because regular rider Kent Desormeaux decided to go with a different mount in this race. No worries. She picks up hall-of-famer Edgar Prado for this. Her trainer, Bruce Brown, is hitting at 52% with his last out winners and 47% with his allowance runners. The percentages say she has a big shot in this.

Choosing - - 5/1 morning line

This is the filly that Ken Desormeaux is on instead of Bella Attrice. Unlike Bella Attrice, this gal has lost her last two races, but there’s still a lot to like about this filly. She comes out of the Bill Mott barn, gets Desormeaux, and has the right style to win this. Her online betting odds should drop from the 5 to 1 morning line but if, for some reason they rise above the 5 to 1, then she’s a definite play.

Diverse - - 3/1 morning line

This daughter of Kingmambo has been in the money in her last two races. She also won four races back. She’s definitely good enough to win this and will have things her way while saving ground from her inside post position. I like her chances, but I hate her online betting odds. I suspect she will go off closer to 2 to 1 than 3 to 1 in this affair.

Online Wagering Strategy

There’s no doubt that if Bella Attrice goes off at 6 to 1, she’s a definite overlay play to win and place. She’s also a great horse to key in exacta and trifectas over Diverse and Choosing.
