Kentucky Derby Pick 4 - Hit and Cash in

BetUS is always looking for ways to satisfy the betting needs of gamblers. This is especially true when it comes to horse racing.
Horseplayers work diligently to find the best wagers in which to make profit. In the world of thoroughbred racing gambling, even money just isn’t good enough.
One of the most popular wagers on which horseplayers make bets in the racebook is the Pick 4. This year’s Pick 4 at the Kentucky Derby promises to be extremely difficult to hit but extremely profitable if you do.
Here’s the Pick 4 that I plan on playing in the racebook on Derby Day.
Kentucky Derby: Pick 4
Race 8 thru 11
Race 8 – Grade II Churchill Distaff Turf Mile Stakes
1 – Lemon Chiffon, 2 – Visit, 6 – Sugar Mint, 10 – Rustic Flame
Analysis: Sugar Mint is the actual top choice in this race, but in a Pick 4 horse bettors have to take a stand in every race. The stand here is to admit that even though Sugar Mint looks like she should beat these easily, the 6/1 morning line does like to run on the pace. If the turf is playing advantageously to closers then Lemon Chiffon, another 6/1 shot, and Visit, at 7/2, figure to be in the best position for victory near the finish line. Rustic Flame is the long shot in Race 8 at 12 to 1.
Race 9 – Grade I Humana Distaff
5 – Secret Gypsy, 9 – Game Face
Analysis: One way to ensure value in the Pick 4 is to go against the chalk. The chalk in this case is Informed Decision at 9/5. Secret Gypsy should get the lead and could just run off with this race. If she doesn’t, then Game Face will be the closest to her.
Race 10 – Grade I Woodford Reserve Turf Classic
4 – Court Vision, 8 – Cowboy Cal
Analysis: This looks to be the toughest leg for us to hit in this Pick 4 sequence because we’re leaving out Artiste Royale and Einstein, both of which have a huge shot in this. Court Vision, the 7/2 second choice, and Cowboy Cal, a 5/1 choice, make up the closer at odds, that’s Court Vision, and the speedster at odds, that’s Cowboy Cal. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!
Race 11 – Grade I Kentucky Derby
16 – Pioneerof The Nile, 10 – Regal Ransom, 13 – I Want Revenge, 19 – Desert Party, 15 – Dunkirk
Analysis: Okay, so if our ticket is still alive when the Kentucky Derby is run, I feel that we have a serious shot at winning the Pick 4. The pace of the Derby this year should be slower than usual with Quality Road, The Pamplemousse, Square Eddie and Old Fashioned all unable to make the race. So, we have the best stalkers in Pioneerof the Nile, 4/1, and I Want Revenge, 3/1, on our ticket. We have the potential lone front runner in Regal Ransom, 30/1, on the ticket. We have the two horses that could surprise on the ticket, Desert Party, 15/1, the Godolphin runner, and Dunkirk, 4/1, the Todd Pletcher talent monster trying to win the Derby without having run at two. I feel like we’ve got the Run for the Roses covered.
